Prolong the life of catnip toys

Catnip, like any other plant, will dry out and loses its effectiveness after a certain period of time.

However, there are some things that you can do to help maintain the potency of cat nip and catnip toys.

• Cats will eventually become less interested in all of their toys, even those with nip inside! Rotate your cats toys or take them away from time to time. They should be grateful to get them back!
• Keep your catnip toy in the plastic bag supplied to help the maintain the freshness of the cat nip inside.
• Make sure that bags of cat nip are kept in a sealed bag to maintain freshness and stop it from losing it's strength too quickly.
• Keep both cat nip and catnip toys in a fridge occasionally. Make sure that they are in a sealed bag or box when doing so. This should help to prolong their life.
• You can also keep cat nip in your freezer and give your cat a sprinkle when required. We recommend you keep it in a sealed container if you are going to do this. A tupperware box is good.
